Contribute your skills

You don't have to be a software developer to contribute to the 64 Studio project. Just telling us about what doesn't work for you helps us improve the software a lot. Beyond that, we love to hear suggestions about how the distribution could be enhanced, and about the projects that you've been working on. Deployments that you know of, large or small - even your personal projects. If you're just starting out making small improvements to the software, tell us about your patches. More experienced developers are welcome too, of course. And if you can't code at all, you can still use your skills to contribute artwork, photography for backgrounds, or sound sample libraries. We have users all around the world, so providing translations of documentation or offering informal support to other users in your local language is a big help. However you'd like to be involved, please contact us directly, or join one of our mailing lists and introduce yourself.

64 Studio i386 install hangs when loading graphic screen
64 Studio 2.1 would not install after pressing enter at the boot prompt. It would get to the graphics screen and turn white then hang there. My keyboard was unresponsive and I had to turn the machine off to get it started again. I have a Dell Latitude laptop with a 60 gig HDD, 2 GIGs of ram and an ATI radeon graphics card. I thought it was going to drive me crazy until I decided to press F1 key at the boot prompt for help. After reading the help instructions I decided that my graphics card was the problem so I entered "vga=771 noapic nolapic" pressed the enter key and BINGO! It went into the install mode and installed flawlessly. I thought this might help someone. God bless To God, everybody is somebody.
