Hi Quentin thanks for response I understand this is for security and stability of distro and related appication. Ubuntu used Debian package and "freeze every 6 months the packets on Debian Testing and release the new version . On 64 studio if I understand well can I use the repo of Ubuntu Hardy and also of Debian for install additional package as someone can desidered , how is possible read in other post on forum . At next time I'm making an image of my winXP installation, it is used by my wife adn my son , and after I install and try the stable version and in seoncd time upgrade to tesing version bye

64 Studio 4.0 would be based on Intrepid, or perhaps the next LTS... we will see

Hi Quentin Harley and thanks for response. I'm surprised by compatibiliy with Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 LTS and not with Intrepid or Debian 5.0 Lenny Stable or actual Debian Squeeze testing how I write in other post Bye

All the languages supported by Ubuntu Hardy can be used in 64 Studio 3.0 - and that is quite a lot... Not all applications are written with full language capabilities, but most are.
