No sound system: why ?

Hi there's a little problem that I haven't seen before. It's impossible to reproduce system sound like login. logout, etc.... Alsa config and mixer volume seems right , does anyone have some suggest or idea ? bye

I'have just discovered that is impossibile to listen any web radio expecially italian network where the streaming is in .rm format. I have install mpalyer related plugin and verified configuration , but I can't find any solution also for this Have you idea or suggests ? Bye
