Indamixx (Transmission 2.0) Netbook, tweeks? flash help? energyXT?

Hello all, I have found no active topics pertaining to the Indamixx netbook at all, I'm sure because there is not much of a user base. However, I'm wondering if I might be able to get some input from someone here not only on a few issues, but also to see if anyone has any suggestions on ways to enhance functionality. For starters, I've found that I cannot play any flash video for youtube or hulu. The slide show at the top of the page on hulu won't even load. Youtube will show the video frame and start queuing up the video, but will not play. I can right click in these areas for gnash's optins etc, but haven't seen any way to get it to work. Any ideas? Also (this may be better off taken to a different forum, but...) energyXT has been crashing alot randomly, I thought perhaps if I got the newest release it would run more smoothly. I haven't even gotten far enough with it to see if it will crash though because i can't even play anything back on it. The sound is all choppy & just generally sounds like crap. I still have both versions of energyXT installed. Without energyXT, the functionality of the device is pretty much cut in half for me. I appreciate any help you can offer. - Travis

Hi Travis, I will alert Daniel of the post, but I would also suggest since this is an OEM project you contact the Trinity support desk for answers to your problem. I unfortunately do not have and indamix devices, or experience, and this forum is mostly devoted to the free distro. Cheers, Quentin

Hi Travis, The Gnash player was included in Indamixx because it can output sound to the JACK audio server, but unfortunately its support for the latest Flash specification is incomplete. This has become more of a problem since YouTube and other sites switched to newer specifications, particularly for video clips (YouTube used to work fine with Gnash). Adobe's own Flash plugin for Firefox works much better on most sites, so we will be switching to this in a forthcoming software update, which you will be able to download. The problem you have with EnergyXT sounds as if it may be related to buffer sizes - please email me directly so we can investigate.
