Hi! I tried to use your 64 studio 2.1 with my brand new computer (self-built). Unfortunately I met some kind of hardware problems. The most problematic thing was installation because there were no chance at all to recognize my hdd:s (1x seagate,1x western digit.) I think that all that depended from sata controller, or at least I suggest so since I successfully installed 2.1 version to my 500gt storage drive via usb 2.0. After that I installed Ubuntu Studio Intrepid which was painless to install directly to computer. But unfortunately I'm NOT happy with that. Reason for unhappiness lies on shoulders of graphics card. Matrox's own 64bit linux installer worked well on Studiolinux 64 v2.1 after all the requirements were met. That was not the case with Intrepid. Now, few weeks later I'm still unable to install it. So I'm worried about your current development process because I hope that I can still install my matrox card to Studiolinux when 3.0 is released. (But more important is to make those Gigabytes work correctly.)

Installer kernel

The installer kernel for 2.1 and 3.0 is too old, and needs a refresh. I'm opening a ticket for this. Cheers, Quentin

I have the same motherboard

I have the same motherboard with the same problems, the installer does not recognise anything sata. I have tried the 3.0 amd 64 version and same problem, It only seems to recognise ide drives, and I dont want to have to purchase and ide hdd after already purchasing two 1tb sata drives for this system. Any ideas anyone?
