Good shoes are vital to pain relief. If you visit an osteopath and have your spine re-aligned then put on your old shoes, your spine will revert back to the old blueprint and your pain will return. You can tell the history of your spine, body structure and pain development all by looking at how the soles of your shoes have worn and how you walk. Golden rules: Always wear good shoes. Never wear anyone else's shoes. Walk without your shoes often, preferably on Mother Earth, say on grass. Always buy a new pair when you've been to have your spine re-aligned. SkullNotion: Your headaches could be caused by cheap or bad shoes. Cheers! Dave. Update: Watch the slow motion documentaries of a tiger as it moves. It's outer pad makes contact with the ground first, then it pads across to the inner part. Your shoes should wear on the *outside* of the heel slightly. If your shoes show wear on the inside of the heel, your foot arches are dropping, in the old days it was called *Flat Foot.* Knee, hip, back, neck and cranial problems will develop over time. I taught my children this quote when they were little and out on walks. Heel, little toe, big toe, knees bent, arms swing. I checked their shoes regularly for wear

Say what?

My shoes are almost constantly below my desk. You know, just kickin it with some looms of audio cable, an old amp and odd microphone prototypes gone wrong... Why are we talking about shoes again?
