USB Audio not working on Macbook Pro with 3.0

Hello everyone, I have just joined after switching from ubuntu studio 9.04. So I have a macbook pro 3.1 (early 2008/late 2007) dual booting with OS X. I have installed the latest beta of 3.0 (32bit install--i'm planning to use some vst plugins with ardour). It is pretty awesome expect that my USB Behringer U-Control 40$ soundcard does not work. If I select as an input device in jack it gets xruns after jack starts and eventually crashes jack. It worked under Ubuntu Studio. I have tried to do a 'sudo modprobe snd-usb-audio' but it didn't help. Any ideas? Thank you

I figured it out. The buffer size was set way too small for my cheap behringer sound card. Right now it is set at 512 and things are decent latency wise, but hey, it works. I think i will invest in another USB sound card.
