Audacity Jack - Have they become pals yet?

Hi All, Currently I use the 64bit V2.1 of 64Studio & mostly use the programs Ardour, Rosegarden, Hydrogen Zyn......Synth., and of course Jack. I would like to use Audacity as a final mix down/editing tool but (as has previously been posted a year ago) it crashes Jack. Has there been any advance with this problem recently, does anyone know? Thanks.

The 3b3 is quite stable at the moment, but on some hardware installation still proves problematic. I have been running my main system on the betas as a proof of concept, and I have had a positive experience so far. The only problem I had was with the experimental firewire kernel, which I solved by building the unofficial testing kernels found in my personal repository. As always with beta's, back up your stuff first ;-) Cheers, Quentin

Thanks Quentin. When is V3 due to become a stable release? Is it worth upgrading to the beta3 version at the minute or are there still issues? Ta.

Just checked it. Audacity works fine on my 64 Studio 3 beta 3 system. No crashing, while using jack via portaudio. Cheers, Quentin
