Sorry in advance if this turns out to be a simple fix, but I've read up and down and can't figure out what's with this stupid problem. When I start up my computer with a 64studio live disk in there, I'll get to the Debian installer screen and nothing seems to work at the prompt but the default ENTER which boots straight to the live OS. I would like to install 64studio, but the process doesn't conform to the installation guide on this site, and none of the prompts that the installer screen help menu give work at all. Not even 'memtest'. So, does this sound like a bad disk image download, or am I just retarded. Thanks for taken a look.

read this for installinf

Booo. I considered that may be the case, but then I figured that I would have read that for sure somewhere on this site. I could have overlooked it, but it does seem to be an important bit of info for the newbs who are use to live distros that have installers packaged in. This would be the first for me that didn't. And that Debian boot screen really through me off. Drove me nuts putting in what was right there on the screen telling me to do, and it didn't work. LOL. Ahh well. Too bad I don't have a DVD burner though, cause I'd love to install 64studio. Guess It'll have to wait.

Not retarded

Hi There... The 2.0 Live disk was created as a live disk only... No install possible from that disk. If you want to install, you need the install DVD - 2.1 for the stable branch, and 3.0 for the development branch. Cheers, Quentin
