Testing ... testing ...

I'm mostly posting this to test my blog aggregator out. Oh heavens! can someone remind me how to set the spellchecking language in SludgeFerret to British English? But also because I'm about to take my life in my hands and install 64 Studio 3.0 on my music box and also hopefully test out the latest MediaStation build. It's going to be lots of fun I can tell. So I'll keep you all posted on my adventures, because I know how much you love hearing about some poor unfortunate wrestling with recycled hardware from WWII, maliciously misreading the manuals and doing all the things with Open Source software that your mother warned you against. Shame there's no 'Twat this' or 'Share on SpaceFace' button, where do I submit my Undocumented Creature Request?

Spell Check...
Firefox: Right click, select "Lanuages" > "English / United Kingdom" And off you go!

Re: Spell Check.
Thanks Quentin, that was the kind of straightforward, sensible configuration option I was looking for! However, it still took me a fair amount of pratting around to find it. I have lots of options when I right-click, because I have installed all sorts of stupid plug-ins, but nothing saying 'Languages'. I went to Edit > Preferences :: Content > Languages and found that this version of SlushFerret was already set to [en-gb], [en] in that order. THEN I tried right-clicking ON THE TEXT BOX ITSELF! Because I remembered that right-click menus are Context-sensitive. And there it was! The languages option. So I clicked on en_GB and now I can type 'realise' without it complaining. Enkosi! cheers, tim /|\

Whoops! I didn't realise this would all get posted to the front page automatically. Is it possible to control the placement of postings? If not, I'll have to use WordPress for my unofficial rantings. Shame, because this site provides a much nicer feed. Calling it a 'blog' is a bit misleading. Oh well, we live and learn. cheers, tim /|\

Re: Visibility
Dumb Question: It's in 'Publishing Options'. I'll be more careful in future. cheers, tim /|\
