Hi,
I like to use rtirq, but can't find any howto for changing values in /etc/default/rtirq
Maybe somebody here have a link or some time to explain.
Many thanks,
Fred
#ok !
# just a try to shout and understand how it works !!
I will follow your N tip, only want Jack and Ardour to play together, it can't be conflict between they ?
When look at the rtirq status, have rtc0 at first, did I have to ask why it is not rtc instead or prefer to stop alcohol ? :-))
Yes - we are using "markdown" syntax on here.
Mine is configured the same, and it should be ok like that. All audio applications are scheduled with RT support, so it should have the highest priority. The problem comes when ALL the applications are Real-Time, and all wants to work as hard as it can, and consequently use more resources than is available.
I would not change it.
Hi Quentin,
in fact, I like to DO the settings, cause it's installed since a few hours, and I'm not sure the defaults are good for this machine... Maybe I'm wrong, you know I feel so newbie sometimes here ! Anyway, what I read in the file is :
RTIRQ_NAME_LIST="rtc snd usb i8042"
RTIRQ_PRIO_HIGH=90
RTIRQ_PRIO_DECR=5
RTIRQ_RESET_ALL=0
RTIRQ_NON_THREADED="rtc snd"
# RTIRQ_HIGH_LIST="timer"
That's the # in last line that make me ask questions, maybe you have an answer ??
Greets,
Fred
