How to get Music Player Daemon 0.15 to compile on 64Studio 3.0 beta

I have just installed 64Studio 3.0 beta on a Core 2 Duo box and all is well. I'm trying to get the latest music layer daemon mpd 0.15 to compile with all the formats etc especially the libshout stuff to allow it to stream audio. However I can't find some of the libraries in repositories. I need > 0.13 because it has builtin HTTP streaming, and the repositories only seem to have 0.13. Anyone can help me by pointing me where I can get some info on my problem. John

I notice that some of the libraries, especially for ffmpeg, do not have the most recent ones installed. ie the 2007 versions arer installed instead of the 2009 versions which have the -dev packages as well. Can anyone say if I install the most recent ones I will not break ardour, audacity, etc John

It seems to me like you need to enable the medibuntu repositories as well: deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ hardy free non-free This has the restricted media libraries you would need. Cheers, Quentin
