Hello, I've tried to install the beta 3 of version 3.0 (64 bit version), but I have troubles with my graphic card drivers: - The default installation fallback to the vesa driver, with a max resolution wichi is unreadable on my lcd. I've tried to add various modelines to xorg.conf, with no success. - If I replace the vesa driver by "ati" or "radeonhd", I have the error "no screens found" (even though my card should be supported). - I've downloaded the latest driver from ATI website, the installation and compilation went fine, but the whole computer freeze when X is started (maybe the kernel is too recent?). No meaningful error in the log (fglrx does start correctly, and find various info about my card and lcd). Is there anything else I could attempt? I don't care about graphic acceleration, but I need the native resolution of my monitor, 1680x1050. regards,

Phoronix

I know this is a little late but please check out this EASY guide on installing the RadeonHD driver. http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=843&num=1 The instructions are much easier to follow than before and will get you your resolution with 3d acceleration. You may have to purge the ATI driver before you start. I am running a clean install of 64 studio beta 3.0 and have a Radeon HD3650
