Input Not Supported

Hey everyone, I just finished installing Studio 64 and when after I get pass the Studio 64 loading screen there's a little grey box slowly floating around the screen with "Input Not Supported" inside it. Just before I formated my HDD and installed Studio 64, everything was fine (Was using windows). I'm using an acer LCD monitor. Could someone help me? If you need more details please say so.

OH the joy. Well this message is actually coming from your display, usually an lcd, saying that whatever frequencies are coming out of the video card, it cannot work with. LCD are more restricted so refer to your make and model for specific details regarding resolution and frequency. The OS is not detecting your display so now you must provide the system with your display information and this may have to be done at the command line by editing the xorg.conf file. Its not always like this, but sometimes is, like on my keyboard rack. That one has a lcd/keyboard combo slide out thing and only works in one freq/res. Uggh. I think you can use a boot option to get to a command line, or boot from a live cd and edit the file on the hard disk. But as I recall what really made it more than a simple chore was a demonic little gnome file in my home directory that overrides xorg and sets some cash register res like 832X512....nice dingleberry there. IN my case, this was causing a total non standard res to be called only when the desktop is loaded.....booting you can see everything but desktop.....produces a LCD error because of an unsupported frequency and res.
