RME HDSP 9632 + AI4S-192 AIO Analog Input Card

I have a working Linux system with a 9632 card, and have just added a AI4S-192 AIO card to get 4 more analog inputs. However adding in this card I find that the hdspmixer program no longer works, but crashes with a segfault message. JACK works configured with 16 inputs and 12 outputs, and when I check with Ardour, I can see the inputs from the analog expansion card registering on the mixer, but of course without hdspmixer, I can monitor nothing. Could the problem be the unequal number of inputs and outputs - can Totalmix deal with this on Windows or Mac setups?? If I were to add an analog expansion output card would all be well? Any ideas.

Have now answered my own question, by buying an AO4S-192 Analog output card. Now the hdspmixer works perfectly with matched numbers of inputs and outputs, so the fault lies with the software, which can't cope with one card by itself. Not very clever.
