Can't find rt-kernel from repos. Here's my sources.list: # # deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 5.0.3 _Lenny_ - Official amd64 NETINST Binary-1 20090906-11:59]/ lenny main #deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 5.0.3 _Lenny_ - Official amd64 NETINST Binary-1 20090906-11:59]/ lenny main deb http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian/ lenny main deb-src http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian/ lenny main deb http://security.debian.org/ lenny/updates main deb-src http://security.debian.org/ lenny/updates main deb http://www.backports.org/debian lenny-backports main contrib non-free deb http://volatile.debian.org/debian-volatile lenny/volatile main deb-src http://volatile.debian.org/debian-volatile lenny/volatile main # Debian Testing deb http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian/ testing main deb-src http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian/ testing main # 64Studio repositories: deb http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/stable 64studio main deb http://apt.64studio.com/backports lenny-backports main # Debian Multimedia: deb http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/Linux/distributions/debian-multimedia/ stable main deb-src http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/Linux/distributions/debian-multimedia/ stable main ..did I miss something?

Hello. You can find a lot

Hello. You can find a lot of good RT kernels on Pengutronix repos. Add this to your sources.list : deb http://debian.pengutronix.de/debian/ sid main contrib non-free And install the package pengutronix-archive-keyring for the key. It works as well on my Debian lenny. I currently use the kernel 2.6.31.6-rt19-1-amd64 on Lenny, Sid and AVLinux 3.0. http://www.pengutronix.de/software/linux-rt/debian_en.html

These are for Debian 4.0

These are for Debian 4.0 (Etch): # deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ etch main contrib non-free # deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main so they are not meant for Lenny (Debian 5.0). None of these 64studio repos seem to work at the moment: # deb http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/stable/ 64studio main # deb http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/testing/ 64studio main # deb http://apt.64studio.com/backports/ etch-backports main In the meanwhile, this seems to work for 64 Studio stable (2.1, based on Etch), but it has no backports or testing packages: # deb http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/64studio.com/apt/ 64studio main I hope this will be fixed soon.

ok, I'll try that. I found

ok, I'll try that. I found these from /etc/apt/sources.list.d/64studio.list: # Stable 64 Studio repository # deb http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/stable/ 64studio main # Debian etch # deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ etch main contrib non-free # Security updates # deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main # Bleeding edge 64 Studio repository, only for testers! # deb http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/testing/ 64studio main # Backports repository, needed to get -dev packages # deb http://apt.64studio.com/backports/ etch-backports main Is any of those repos usable with lenny?

Indeed, i can't see it

Indeed, i can't see it either, don't know what has happened. I just installed linux-image-2.6.29-1-multimedia-amd64 from 64studio Hardy backports, it seems to work just as fine as the one for Lenny. I am quite sure that this is excactly the same kernel, but I cannot guarantee, and it is generally not advised to mix cross-platform repos. I must emphasize that this is on your own risk only: If you still want to try out, Hardy backports is here: deb http://apt.64studio.com/backports hardy-backports main Furthermore, there seems not to be headers for linux-image-2.6.29-1-multimedia-amd64, only for linux-image-2.6.26-1-multimedia. It would be nice to get the Lenny support back to 64 Studio repos.

I removed line "deb

I removed line "deb http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/stable 64studio main" and installed keyring again. Now "deb http://apt.64studio.com/backports lenny-backports main" is only 64studio repo. apt-get update gives no error now, but still can't find linux-image-2.6.29-1-multimedia from repos. I found only 64studio(dummy), 64studio-apt, 64studio-skel, 64studio-themes and 64studio-utils packages. I Think I need Debian testing repos cause I use kde4.

Could the server have been down? Here 64studio Lenny backports work ok. I think you can comment out this line: deb http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/stable 64studio main deb because it's for 64 Studio 2.1, which is based on Etch. I would also comment out the Debian testing repos while installing stuff from 64studio Lenny backports. Installing keyring for 64studio Lenny backports: wget -q -O - http://trac.64studio.com/64studio/browser/64studio/trunk/apt/key?format=raw|apt-key add - from root terminal should do the job.

I can't see that kernel in

I can't see that kernel in my repos. Something wrong with my sources.list or do I need keyring or something? Command "sudo apt-get update" ends like this: Err http://apt.64studio.com 64studio/main Packages 403 Forbidden Ign http://apt.64studio.com lenny-backports/main Packages Hit http://apt.64studio.com lenny-backports/main Packages W: Failed to fetch http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/stable/dists/64studio/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz 403 Forbidden E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Can you see linux-image-2.6.29-1-multimedia in the repos? (64Studio Lenny backports) It allows complete rt preemption, works very nicely here.
