Hello, I am hoping to make a "video song" - much like you see here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIr8-f2OWhs Basically: 1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice). 2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds). So hears the deal. If I record the audio into ardour and record the film onto a camera, how do I put the two together, how do I sync them. Also does anyone know how to do that frame effect on cinellera, or we its called ? Thanks Guys, Chris.

Okay I think I know what you mean... So lets say the edited video comes 12 seconds early, then just drop the whole ardour session back 12 seconds or w/e ? Still, editing the video in the first place is going to be really hard with out reference to audio only time of each instrument.... =/ Thanks, Chris.

You are right. xjadeo is for viewing only. That's why I said that you should edit the video first. Then sync the video in ardour (using xjadeo) and export the audio. Combine the video and the new audio and the project is done.

yes but how do I save the output of xjadeo ? Last time I checked, it only displays a tiny window ? Thanks, Chris

The main problem with camera and Ardour is that the two devices do not share the same clock, and that samples can drift out of sync in a few hours or so... Complete the video editing first.and leave the audio recorded in Ardour for now. The easiest is to use a tool called xjadeo to display the video synced with Jack, and set the ardour sync clock to Jack also. Vie the video though xjadeo, and cut the adio along scene changes, and match each by hand. This looks like a lot of work, but the result will be much better than relying on automated processes, or the terrible on camera sound...

i liked the tune But as far as the creation of the video for something like that I think its possible to sync ardour with jack and some other program for display of the actual video. I dont know how its done But I think I seen a tutorial on this subject on ardour forums .- sorry this was not much help.
