Upgrade to 3.0beta3

What's currently the best way to upgrade from 2.1 to 3.0 beta 3? From what I understand it's quite stable....Would this be recommended? thanks, Juan

Ok thanks, I pretty much only use Ardour, so I think I should be in good shape.. I found a link for the iso on distrowatch, will this work? Thanks, juan

The best way to upgrade at this stage is to make a backup of your data, and install 3 beta 3 from the DVD. As I am testing a lot of software, I sometimes run into trouble with some of the less stable packages, and need to reinstall. Using a separate home partition made this process a 20min chore. As for stability, I am running 3beta3 with the 2.6.31.6 RT kernel, and I have no trouble with my main studio apps at the moment. Write if you need any more info. Cheers, Quentin
