Hi, all tried to install wine-asio and encountered such a problem. My steps. In Synaptic add repos 1. deb etch main contrib 2. deb 64studio main 3. deb etch-backports main 4. deb etch main Then press reload, and mark the following packages for installation: wine, wineasio, then click apply. Download and installation OK. Then, following Quentin Harley advise, enter in terminal *"regsvr32 wineasio.dll"* and get: ~~~ alex@64studio:~$ regsvr32 wineasio.dll Failed to load DLL wineasio.dll alex@64studio:~$ sudo regsvr32 wineasio.dll wine: /home/alex/.wine is not owned by you alex@64studio:~$ ~~~ What's wrong? Cheers Alex

Thank you for reply and your solution , totalchaos. Now I understand how it goes, but I still stick to 64bit. There is some passing remarks about it for other users to warn. After I've installed wineasio, I've had great jack X-runs (38(186) and more for example ), so I've to reinstall OS. I do not know exactly is it owing to wineasio, but it come after it. And some more about Quentin's reply. If you know how, tell us, please. Cheers Alex

I have successfully used wineasio on my 64bit systems for a long time now. Have not reinstalled it yet, since I do not use wine much (if at all)

wineasio ;-)

dear Alex54m, it seems that you are walking on my steps.I had the same problem some time ago. So you are asking what's wrong and the answer is simple: Wineasio (by now) is made for 32bit (x86) system only. I remember that you told that you are using 64studio 3beta amd64, so wineasio is not possible (see ) I spent many days and nights of installing, compiling, recompiling with no success. So the solution is only one for now if you want wineasio use 32bit. Cheers ;-)
