graphics cards

I am getting tired of fighting my nvidia card every time I install a new system. I am in the process of sorting 64studio beta 3 & have recently given up on Ubuntu studio & straight ubuntu. I have got it working previously but every update seems to produce a different set of issues. I run an amd64 desktop dual screen on which I reckon to have several distros to allow me to have a stable office & studio + bleeding edge stuff (all linux). Anybody like to suggest a graphics card setup which stands a chance of working out of the box so I can worry about something other than graphics. No fast games graphics needed. Steve

I use this one here works great on solaris 10, pen solaris, debian, bsd, ubuntu , crunchbang, 64studio all versions and all otehr live distros I tested on my computer. cheap card. not expensive. has dual screen dvi and vga, something like that could be easy to find secondhand cheep maybe. I got mine fr the price of 300 dkk. this is really not much for hardware. in Denmark things like this is maybe a bit cheaper than other countries but it should be affordable.
