Alsa Modular Synth crashes very often

Hi again I use the 64 bits version on an Intel Dual Core machine. It's been three days only now, and I'm still discovering many things. I have a problem with the Alsa Mod Synth. It crashes often, and sometimes shuts down my computer (true !). Do you think there is a problem with the app or anything else ? (Well, I know it's difficult to tell...). It's a pity for I like this modular synth, it has very good sounds ans patches. Problems occurs when I load a patch, or when I right-click on a component to set some parameters. Cheers

Yes, I have had the odd disappearance of Alsa Modular Synth as well, but it does not bother me so much, because if you find the right settings, you tend to play it, and not with it :-) Obviously some more work to be done there... as with all software

All other midi apps work

All other midi apps work very fine, including DSSI synths, Zynaddsubfx, Rosegarden, and so on. My audio card is a RME, so not ice1712. Maybe a bug in some native components or LAPSDA plugs.

Do other MIDI apps work OK? If not, you may have a driver problem. Is your soundcard using the ice1712 driver by any chance? For example, an M Audio Audiophile 24/96? This driver has been known to cause crashes with MIDI on dual-processor machines.
