First thanks for your great work. 1)I installed xjadeo from Synaptic but I don't have yet a working video post prod system: - xjadeo doesn't seem to work out of the box once installed. - it seems qjadeo is not available neither in the debian or the 64studio repos. Once installed it is really a great solution (for musicians which don't have a big desire to learn command line ... :) ). 2)I have a RME multiface, and for it to be mounted with 64Studio I had to install some extra repos (hdsploader comes to mind, but I kind of remember there was something else), which is ok, but probably worth mentionning in tutorials for other newbies with similar config. I am tempted by installing the latest RME drivers for my cardbus as they improve significantly the performances on my WIn station. Will it break the linux support? 3)I heard of Jace for convolution reverbs. Is it the only solution on Linux so far, and are they some ways to install it? thanks, Box :AMD X2 3800+ - 2 Go DDR - 1 IDE - 1 SATA RME Hammerfall

I am downloading now the live-cd of 64studio in 32 bits. I guess it can fill a real gap in the linux audio world. So far, the only alternative was musix, which I've been offering to each of the participant of my workshops, knowing that I would rather offer a more polished audio distro. I guess the next ones will have a 64studio live-cd! Sooo, the live-cd seems to be the right format, especially for the educationnal sector, and of course as a demo to offer to other musicians... I didn't have any news though about my questions concerning xjadeo, which is quite surprising , considering that 64Studio was advertised as working with Ardour and xjadeo in a showcase a while ago. Does it work or not? Are there some steps to follow to get it working? thanks,

xjadeo

I had it working quite a while ago, but I since I test the distribution (and broke something in the process) I reinstalled 64studio to fix my mess. I haven't worked on video since, but I have a project coming up in a few weeks. Though my time is a little limited now, I'll definitely want xjadeo running when I do that project. I'll keep you posted (I won't forget this time... sorry) Cheers
