Tried to install this las night from the free disc in Linux Format and am running into the following problems. 1)The first one is very minor, when I get to partition formatting the progress bar always reads 33% all the way through the process. 2)When I get to configure clock it fails to copy file 3)Then after filling in all the passwords I get an error msg that reads "Install the base system, installation failed, De bootstrap error, failed to determine codename for release" I don't at the moment have internet access at home so anything I download has to be done by the windoze computer at the local library and copied onto my pen drive. Any help or advice please? I really, really want this OS, as an artist it is a perfect bundle for me. Valdary

A lot of the lads at the local LUG take the same magazine so I'll see if I can scrounge another disc in case this one was damaged I can't burn to dvd though I can read from it. I'll have to go with 32 bit, I'm pretty sure my computer won't support 62. Thanks Valdary

To me it sounds like the disk you have might be corrupted or damaged. Try to download the iso for the version you need, and burn to DVD. Good luck at the library! Otherwise, drop Daniel a mail and see if he could make a plan for you. Cheers,
