What sound-card?

I was thinking the m-audio delta 192...Will it work? NB I'm a student, so the budget is tight The sound-card I have at the moment is a Karajan (Realtek ALC850), embedded in to a lanparty nf4 motherboard - which has actually been fine so far, but I'm feeling perhaps not best suited for pro audio (its reviews have actually been pretty crap)... Hi! If you intend to use your system for audio work, get a M-Audio card. My choice is at the moment 24/96 Audiophile. It is easily extendable with a cheap mixer - you'll need one, trust me. Don't trust everything to software: in a professional studio setup it is usual to use a "mixture" of hardware and software - the best possible equipment/software is used for the job/standard required.. Embedded soundchips are good for listening to your collection of mp3's - not much else. You can't use a Ford KA for 60 tons of cargo..

Audiophile 2496 works fine,

Audiophile 2496 works fine, sounds nice and is cheap.
