Graphics Card Issues

Hi Im having issues running the live CD - Getting the install screen come up goes through the checking process then my screen goes black ! although the computer is still running. I am Linux newbie , have been told it could be a graphic card issue (see hardware listed below) I read somewhere you can over type with VGA 775 at some point (not sure when or where !) Any suggestions on resolving my issue ! Guessing need a new graphics ? if so any suggestions on what works preferably something reasonably priced / available 2nd hand so I can load it up and find a driver for my current card once its up and running.
