Realtime problems

Hi everyone, I have a very annoying problem with my system: the sound clicks everytime (especially with jack). I have installed 64studio 2.0 on my laptop (a fujitsu-siemens) and it seems that no soft has access to realtime (at least it's what amsynth says). I'm in the audio group and I have edited rlimits.conf. I also tried realtime-lsm but it didn't work either. If anybody has a solution, it'll be great. Thanks. rMyX

I also have a Fujutsu-Siemens laptop, and I believe the problem might be with the on board sound device (HDA). My suggestion would be to get a nice USB2 pro sound interface, and use that. I have a nice big sound PC with a LAN-party strap, with proper audio hardware inside. It's a bit heavy for a "Portable studio" but it beats to socks of any laptop sound card, and looks more impressive when you set up.

I wish there was another solution... It seems I'll never be able to make music with my laptop :( If anyone has a little hope to bring.
