I realize that the Nautilus in 64 Studio is an older version than the one in Ubuntu, but is there any way to make the old one look and behave more like the one in Ubuntu? Having every folder open in a new window is really annoying, and having the buttons at the top like Nautilus in Ubuntu would be real handy. As of yet, I don't see any newer version of it available in Synaptic, so apparently upgrading to the newer version is not an option.

Yes, that is the first thing I changed after reinstalling 2.0 a few months ago. Tell it in there to "Always open in Browser windows" That should do it. Cheers

In a Nautilus window go to Menu-->Edit-->Preferences-->Behaviour tab, there you can change the way nautilus behaves.
