/etc/init.d.rc: Permission denied

Hello, before the end of installation i encounter trouble. "choosing package" didn't work i can boot to kernel but arriving to this : /etc/init.d/rcS: line 8 /etc/init.d./rc: Permission denied ls -l /etc/init.d./rc* and i've noticed the rc file is empty and has -RW-R--R-- rigths ? Weird dont you think ? Any one had this trouble already and could give me few help ? Thanx Patatogroover
