Hi all, As my transition to 64 studio furthers I'm looking for an alternative to a great mac osx tool called MidiStroke (http://www.charlie-roberts.com/midiStroke/). It gives an easy to use interface to map midi notes to any keystroke, combination of keystrokes or even keystroke sequences. Is there any such thing out there that could be used in 64studio? If not is there a workable alternative? Applications (to name just a few) - Use a midi foot controller for recording (start, stop, record, rewind etc). - use a midi footcontroller to select / start / stop songs for playback Thanks, Elias

For Ardour, or other apps?

Do you mean computer keys, or keyboard keys? I used to sequence a long time ago, and start/stop/record could be mapped to a combination of synth keys. It needed to be something that you would not be playing in a song naturally. If you are talking about computer keys, and using Ardour, it already has a very intensive keymap setup. You can view/edit them in Ardour with Windows-->Keybindings. This is just a graphical interface to the info in .ardour/ardour.rc (there are a lot of other settings there as well). I am interested in your given example of remapping foot controllers for basic transport control as well. I have never used a Controller surface, perhaps some of those settings can be remapped for transport control? I see there is a setting for Generic MIDI, but I don't know what commands are available.
