No sounds with MP3 using VLC

Hello everybody... I continue to install step buy step my 64 Studio... I got a little problem: Wheb i want to read mp3 files with VLC, i got no sound ??? Any idea? Thanks in advance Luc

I just have the package installed with synaptic, not an "exotic" downloaded anywhere on the internet ;-) I tried to re-install and now it runs properly !!! Thanks for help ;-) Luc

Make sure you don't have the "wrong" libmad package. Pablo

I have installed all the codecs i found on forums, w32codecs, etc... The only i tried but not installed where nuendo codecs. I didn't konw what repositories add to synaptic toi install nuendo... But it's possible that it's not the main reason ;-)
