I have been very curious about loading gnome 2.20 from the debian lenny or sid pool. The problem that I see is that taking it from the debian pool wants to replace and/or remove certain 64 studio components. Any suggestions? Some of the components that it mentions is Gnome-core, linux-headers, 64studio skel, themes and dummy package plus various libs... Is gnome 2.20 coming in the next release? Thanks MiCK

thanks and a update

I have gotten elements from sid to work in at gnome 2.20 BUT...wasn't completely thrilled with the whole thing (not being able to load the whole thing and all)...i backed up and are now back to the previous load...things are fine...although the new clock for gnome is nifty with the world clock included. also regarding apps... rezound is working on noise reduction for it's upcoming release...i find rezound to be a bit more accurate than audacity...if you haven't checked it out then give it a look. cheers mick

Very bad line here chhhhhhggggggk. No. I believe gnome is stuck on 2.14 (and some pieces of 2,18) for this release. Reasons? Etch. We can look forward to Gnome 2.22++ in version 3 (or in the testing leading up to 3.0) Cheers!

Hello? ...Is this thing on [tap tap]?
