I've get work my wireless "PRO/Wireless 2915ABG"
This wireless cards should use same driver and firmware as I know.
1) Install wifi-radar wireless application via synaptic with wireless tools
2) Download firmware http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/firmware.php version 3.0
3) extract firmware to /lib/firmware
4) copy files from /lib/firmware/ipw2200-fw-3.0 and paste them to /lib/firmware.... very important!!! not working without this
5) reboot

Thank you very much Quentin. To be honest I tried almost every multimedia distro in a linux world (except only Planet CCRMA) and I never had Ardour to be stable enough to finish any of my projects without a suprize. I was even close to conclude that Reaper's beta 0.999 running through wine is more stable than it. I did not actually test 64s from this side but I know about demudi and rely on a main developer's experience.
This is hardware/kernel related. The current realtime kernel or it's modules probably does not support those specific devices yet. The reason for the older kernel is that a newer kernel would cause an unmanageable amount of backporting, pulling our very stable 64studio distro into the realm of Sid - which is not unstable as in broken, but unstable as in "constant state of flux" Things that works perfectly today may not work tomorrow.
As a professional sound producer you will appreciate the fact that 64studio just works, and keeps working. I made many live recordings, and 64studio never let me down before. (Can't say the same for the Other OS)
Despite this, if you need a feature, you need a feature. I will open a ticket against the 2.2 release.
Thanks for your report.
[NOTE] There is already a ticket opened for this hardware issue.

It will probably be solved before the 2.2 release.
..you of the fact that 64Studio is an audio (media) specialised distro, so don't expect it to work with "we-do-not-support-anything-but-windoze"" hardware out-of-the-box.
I mean, the guys at 64Studio are doing an amazing job with audio software and realtime kernel. The deal with Linux is: don't support windows-only hardware by buying it - if you wish to use the superior capabilities of the Linux kernel. Jackd is an unbelievable audio system and judging by what the Harrison consoles guys have done with Linux, we're only using a small portion of what Linux can do. The limitations seem to be hardware related.
Or are you recording audio over wifi - or bluetooth..? I don't think the protocols are mature enough..
Sorry about the rant, I intend to keep it at low level most of the time.
Just remember that unfortunately freedom comes at a cost..
Yes I know all that. And I used Jad and had no problems with those things. By the way the laptop is not the brand new thing (Acer Travelmate 4010). And why not if it works in linux? Yes I would record over Wifi with ninjam or pd. I would like to make 64s my everyday distro. And not to reboot to another OS when I want to save something to my smartphone. I'm a professional sound producer and I know what I'm asking for, no need for such kind of reminders.

Try this..
Thank you very much Quentin.
No Problem then
I would like to remind..
Yes I know all that. And I
This is hardware related...
