TAP Equalizer not working

Hello, I recently moved some of my Ardour projects from Ubuntu Studio to 64 Studio. Everything seems to be working well, except the TAP Equalizer. All tracks that use the TAP Equalizer produce no sound at all, except when the equalizer is bypassed. This is rather irritating, as I use the equalizer quite a bit. Are there any ideas what could have caused this problem and- more importantly - how to solve it. For example, are there any logs that I could check? Thanks in advance, -Petter-

Thanks for the tip!

Installation went fine and the LEET plugins work well! Another tip: if you have a directory containing files that end with .so, you can copy them to another location in one sweep with an asterisk replacing the filenames - like this: cp *.so /usr/lib/ladspa Incidentally, for those of you using LAME to encode audio to mp3: LAME doesn't take multiple filenames - like previously - at a time to encode. A workaround for this is to use xargs - like this: ls *.wav | xargs -n1 lame Oggenc does not have this limitation.

Thanks youki! To install LEET plugins (Chorus1_2x2-2x2 + Equalizer-2x2-1band + Equalizer-2x2-8band) on 64-bit 64Studio, I had to: wget http://leetplugins.googlecode.com/files/LEET-plugins-0.2.tar.gz tar -xvf LEET-plugins-0.2.tar.gz cd LEET-plugins-0.2 # (as root) make all make install cp /usr/local/lib/ladspa/LEET_chorus.so /usr/lib/ladspa cp /usr/local/lib/ladspa/LEET_eqbw2x2.so /usr/lib/ladspa cp /usr/local/lib/ladspa/LEET_eqbw2x2_1.so /usr/lib/ladspa cp -R /usr/local/share/ladspa/rdf /usr/lib/ladspa

These plugins found on the Ardour forum can replace the TAP Equalizer. They work fine for me.

Not a problem with Ardour

The problem also applies when using this plugin with Audacity, so Ardour is not responsible.

Could be..

I remember using the TAP not too long ago too. Perhaps this will be fixed in the upcoming Ardour 2.5 release

I've got the same problem

But it works on Ardour 2.3 on Ubuntustudio 8.04, but i prfer to use 64studio if possible. Is the bug coming from Ardour 2.4.1?

Stay away from CAPS 10 Band Analogue Too

That plugin has worse issues than TAP EQ. Using the Multiband EQ is my workaround as well.

Yes, I see there is a problem with the TAP Eq. I use the multiband EQ. It can be used on mono and stereo signals. Use it as a work-around... I'll let Free and Daniel know. Cheers
