installing Freewheeling 0.5.6 from svn, still no go here

Hi all, I'm trying to build/install freewheeling 0.5.6 from svn, but don't succeed at all. Following the notes in the other thread "very old software.." given by 'stevea' it still doesn't work. Now I consider myself still a very noob re: all things linux. So a little help would be really appreciated.
