Fluidsynth issues

I bought a GM SoundFont from Sonic Implants (GM 250Meg), but it seems that fluidsynth has some issues playing the soundfont. With some patches the notes sound clearly off key (with or without the reverb/chorus) and some ranges of notes also sound 'wrong' like it seems that there are issues with the filters/generators. I was wondering if anyone using soundfonts is experiencing the same issues with soundfonts.

glad there is progress...it's been a while since i've used a soundfont outside of MuseScore, so i can't help with specific players. please post back with whatever your findings are, or if you continue to have problems!

What about DSSI-fluidsynth

Thanks for the reply. I have tried the soundfont with a couple of other players and looked into it with SWAMI and it seems to be the soundfont itself that is the problem. I've read also that running fluidsynth from the command-line should work better, so that's gonna be my next stop for the coming time and I will try using the soundfonts with DSSI-fluidsynth to see if that is an improvement.

use the command-line program and not the GUI frontend and see if it makes a difference...try also with a completely different program if possible can you verify the integrity of the soundfont itself?
