DL'd the 64 and 32 bit ISOs and booted them on two machines with same results. No sound. Is there some basic setup function that I am missing? Other live CDSs have had sound and both machines are dual booting or using Wubi to run Ubuntu (with working sound). I am primarily interested in audio WAV, MP3 etc. and not MIDI. BTW, Audacity can't load an MP3. Is the plug in left out on purpose? TIA John

1. Which machines are you using? Could be a kernel incompatibility... please give more info. Sound card is a good start. You can also do an internet search of the linux support of the sound device you have installed for more info. Also check that the volume is not muted in the volume control. 2. MP3 works in Audacity if you install the libraries for it. Those libraries were left out on purpose because it is patent encumbered, and 64 Studio leaves itself open for legal action against it if the libs are distributed with the OS. You can get it from the Debian-multimedia repository - deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org/ etch main Hope it helps.
