No Network Connection

By left klicking on the network icon, I get the information "no network device have been found", but my dsl internet connection is working. This proplem just apeared suddenly. In the Network settings I use a static IP address(192.168.1.1) and I have onboard lan on a asrock 775v88 mainboard. How can I conntect to my network?

This could be a monitor malfunction - It says you are not connected, while you are. I had this once, long ago, and I cannot remember how I fixed it (or indeed if I fixed it at the time - doesn't really matter)

As a tester of the OS I have reinstalled 64studio many times, and that may how I "fixed" it... It is working here presently.
