How do I install .99 "somewhere else" so Ardour 2.X doesn't freak out? I have the .deb file for Ardour .99? Thanks

thanks

But the ardour 2.5 install was not a go for me...there were errors with the jack install and another error regarding dependencies. I'll take a deep breath and wait till the new lenny version of 64studio comes out...hopefully it will contain both.

"quick" fix

Uninstall ardour 2.4.1 install ardour 0.99 install ardour 2.5 from source as per the guide on the front page of the site. You should now have ardour 0.99 and 2.5 running concurrently - ardour and ardour2 Cheers
