JacK and E-mu 0404

Hi all ! I'm a very newbie, and I experience linux, with 64Studio. I had some trouble, but I manage ( google is my friend ;-) ) to solve them, except one: There are two sound cards in my computer: a "classic" sound blaster, and a E-mu 0404. ALSA seems to recognize both of them. For example, deezer output is on the SB, and audacity output is on E-mu ( I never configure anything to have this, but it doesn't matter) Now, I want to record mu guitar bu using E-mu 0404 inputs. But they don't appear in Jack Connection Audio. For example, if have Ardour and Hydrogen are running, Jack Audio connection shows ardour, hydrogen, and alsa_pcm, wich is the sound blaster card. But In the midi section, I see the E-mu 0404. Can someone help me? Thanks for answering. and excuse me for my english, I try to make my-self as clear as possible Jack from france.

You need to select the card you want to use in jack, as it can only handle one card at a time for audio. Stop the jack server, and in the "Setup" section, click on the ">" button next to the "Interface". Now select the E-mu. All devices are available for Midi though, as this need no clock synchronisation, as it is event driven. Cheers, Q
