Has anyone had any luck getting the m-audio 192 to work? Playback works for me but recording is an issue. I have read that linux has issues with this card but just wanted to see if there are work arounds for it.

What is the current bit depth you are running at? 16? Capture sample rate? I don't know if this is the case with the 2496, but some cards can only do either or... Either 24bit depth or 96kHz sample rate. Cheers, Q

Unfortunately the Audiophile 192 card doesn't input.

After 80+ hours of research and frustration......traded the Audiophile 192 cad in for a supported Audiophile 2496. Now if i could only change the bit depth in Jack. Best Regards, Ryan

Had everything working just fine in the initial install of 3.0 alpha but then the next day lost audio output on left side. Had the same problem with Ubuntu studio (was days into researching a fix for the problem in hardy when i stumbled upon someone suggesting 64Studio for a proprietary Digital Audio Workstation environment) so i am imagining that is has something to do with the config of the M-audio Audiophile 192 card and the Ubuntu distribution. Been a windows/protools user for 6years+, but trying to expand my horizons with Linux after a long discussion with a good friend of mine. Initially tried Hardy on my laptop and everything was fine now with the PC it's a little frustrating however, i am committed to make 64Studio work for me. work, work, work....and the research continues. Best Regards, Ryan

Managed to get my LR output to start working properly. Set up the Ubuntu repositories and downloaded about 96 updates. whatever updates i was missing seemed to take care of the problem with my Left side audio out put. Next test for me is my input stage, will keep you informed of any isuues. you get your card to work yet????????? Loving Linux. Best Regards, Ryan
