Installation finished but 64Studio doesn't start

Hi there, 64Studio is my third attempt to install an audio Linux on my PC after Ubuntu Studio (strange distro, installation worked, distro started, but 50% of the programs didn't start) and Jacklab 1.0/1.1 alpha (installation issues, startup issues). Ok, at first my CD/DVD drive was not recognized, then I changed the RAID option in my BIOS (mainboard: MSI K9N Neo) from IDE to AHCI (I have 2 WD SATA harddrives and a LG SATA CD/DVD drive) and the installation seems to run through. I formated both hard drives and changed the MBR ... but ... after the final reboot after the finished installation there is no 64Studio showing up but the old not-working Jacklab 1.1 alpha. Now I'm very confused. Didn't I successfully installed 64Studio? Tried it several times without any changes. Any suggestions?

3.0 alpha installation failed, too

Tried 3.0 alpha today. Installation failed, too (see the 3.0 alpha thread for more details).

64 studio only

No, I try to install 64 studio only. I have setup the installation tool to format both harddrives completely. That's why I'm so confused with this behavior. It kinda seems like the installer shows that it's installing but doesn't recognize that nothing is written on the harddrive and even the formatting doesn't work. Will test 3.0 (I have an Athlon64 AM2 X2).

Are you trying to install a mixed system, or 64 studio only? If it is 64 Studio only, choose "Use complete drive" when the choice for partitioning presents itself. Do check out the thread on 64 Studio 3.0... there is a alpha release ISO out today if you want to try it...
