how to run applis that aren't in ubuntu menu ?

Hi, i install 64 Studio 3.0 alpha, and add alsaplayer from synaptic. Can't find it in the Ubuntu menu, and search in directories from file system, but can't find it ! If somebody have an idea, please let me know in which directory alsaplayer stays ? Thanks for helping, Bye. Fred

Hi stratojaune, You're welcome. Not sure but you might find a link in the same menu editor to add an Icon also. How is the 3.0 alpha working for you? Is everything OK? Which kernel are you running? Cheers! dave

Hi, Install alacarte menu editor, and go to System > Preferences > Main Menu and add To Sound & Video section "New Item" type alsaplayer into the command box. Cheers! dave
