Hi! Since I don't have a DVD burner, I downloaded the liveCD and booted it on my machine. I can't, however, find an installation script of any kind. I'm assuming that installing from the liveCD might be a bit of a manual process, which is fine. Can someone point me to some docs? I'm assuming it will go something like this: 1. partition the disk 2. copy the CD content to the root partition 3. install grub 4. reboot Any specifics would be very much appreciated! :) Thanks, Josh

Hi Josh, The livecd is not meant to be installable, If your hardware is compatible you would be better installing the new 3.0 alpha release. Read the thread (first link) below to review issues and also find "cd" download links: The "cd" install image links are near the bottom of the thread. Or you can go to the Downloads page. Once you have confirmed your hardware is compatible and have installed the 3.0 alpha, you can then install the new 2.6.26 kernel using the apt-get instructions half way down this page: Good luck, and looking forward to hearing how you get on. Cheers! dave
