Hello,
Version 1 is on the mirror:
http://download.linuxaudio.org/64studio/
This will burn onto a CD.
If you are new to 64studio, you would probably be better to install version 2, which is reported to be stable and has many new packages are more-recent versions of the 1.0 packages.
http://cdd.64studio.com/releases/64studio/
The full product is DVD install (See User FAQ if burning from Nero)
Thanks Stevea,
Yes ,Im iterrested in Version 2, but I wanted to know if the 32 Bit Version is a part of the 64Studio 64 bit version. I miss a name like`"32 bit version."
In other words:I download the 64 bit and then i decide to work with 32 bit?
Thanks
Peter
Peter,
The download is dedicated to either 64 bit or 32 bit, so the 64 bit download will not work for 32-bit-only systems and the 32-bit version doesn't allow you to upgrade to 64bit.
The 32-bit version uses the code word "i386"
The 64-bit version uses the code word "AMD64"
So for the 32-bit version, ready for burning to DVD, you need to choose 64studio_2.0-rc2_i386.iso from the http://cdd.64studio.com/releases/64studio/ folder.
Don't worry, the 32-bit 64studio system has exactly the same software as the 64-bit. It is just that one is specially optimised for 32-bit hardware and the other one is specially optimised for 64-bit.
