problems installing in virtual box

I am trying to install studio 64 in virtualbox. One of the things I need to do is to install dkms wich I did with this command in other distro's (linuxmint) #apt-get install dkms apperently it couldn't find the package? I am relatively new to linux maybe I am missing something. My first guess is that the repositories that studio 64 is using do not have the Dynamic kernel module Support package. I don't really know and a google search didn't help me much so any info or advice would be much appreciated. this looks like a really awsome project you guys have going here! Thanks alot
