Hi, Still trying. I have been trying to follow to the letter the Getting Started with LinuxSampler tutorial off of this website. Everything goes well up until I get to the following "In QJackCtl, go to the Connections window. In the Audio tab, connect the LinuxSampler entry to alsa_pcm. In the MIDI tab, connect Rosegarden to LinuxSampler. Connect your input keyboard to both Rosegarden and LinuxSampler." Linux Sampler appears in the Audio window as does Rosegarden. But, in the MIDI window there is no LinuxSampler. Thoughts? I was getting so close. James

OK, I think I have it... Since the tut was written, jack has now implemented "Jack Midi" and depending on the way you started your linuxsampler channel it will either show up in the "MIDI" tab(Jack Midi) , or the "ALSA" tab (ALSA MIDI) It works either way... but I use Jack midi now with stellar results. Cheers, Quentin
