Hi, I post it to help if somebody have the same problem. After a new install of 64 Studio beta3, there were no sound at all. Here's the check to fix it (Thank you Dave))), the "soundcard" I use is an AC'97 included in motherboard of the desktop. In Gnome sound mixer (icone in the right of panel) nothin have a red cross (mute), except microphone, Alsa mixer is chosen for the good soundcard in the same appli/file/change device. In menu/system/preferences/sound, can hear the 1kHz when test the sound. In QJackCtrl, the chipset is nammed hw:1... in 64 studio 2.1 it was hw:0... so I have to set it at the right value, and it works ! Settings in QJackCtrl are : -R -P89 -p128 -dalsa -r44100 -p128 -n2 -D -Chw:1 -Phw:1 -i2 -o2 Do somebody notice something strange in these settings ? I try the Jamin tutorial "Cold Duck", and it runs the Pentium4 at 35%, as Ardour and Jamin says. No Xruns at all, sound nice, tape transport ok. Have notice a strange thing, maybe it's Jamin but am not sure, cause Mixxx do the same : impossible to open a jam session in another disk partition Ardour does it, but not Jamin. Just a detail, but you said "report" ! Anyway, nice work, many thanks to Free and the Team !!
